This course will cover the fundamentals of operating systems concepts in managing system resources.

Important things should be known after studying this course:

* Explain functions and features of operating system.
* Classify the fundamental operating system services.
* Discuss the internal structure of an operating system.
* Discuss process management concepts.
* Apply process scheduling algorithms.
* Identify the deadlock and its management.
* Discuss memory management and virtual memory concepts.
* Discuss I/O management techniques.
* Use different file systems.
* Provide security for the resources.
* Know how to install Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
* Use Unix fundamental Shell commands.
