Goal:
Introduce
mathematical techniques and numerical methods for problem solving.
Important things should be known after studying this course:
* Determine if a function has a limit at a point
and find its value.
* Find solutions to application problems
involving continuous functions.
* Find the graphical meaning of the derivative,
the tangent line problem and the velocity of theobject.
* Find the derivatives of functions using the
standard techniques of differentiation.
* Make use of the applications of differentiation
with emphasis of maximum and minimum problems and curve sketching.
* Make use application of Mean Value theorem and
Rolle’s Theorem.
* Find anti derivative of function and to evaluate
integrals of functions making use standard integration techniques.
*Apply the concepts of definite integrals to find
area between two curves.
